Meet The Cast

Maude “Melantha” Mgilicutti
Main Protagonist - A middle schooler dealing with the worries of seventh grade, puberty, family, and friends drifting away. Not to mention her family moving to a new town. Amidst all the changes in her life, she feels like a stranger to herself. Her many worries make her a very nervous and awkward character, always trying to figure out who she is. However, that is not to say that she can’t handle a challenge. She is quick witted, creative, and intuitive.
With Longo, she becomes more explorative and energetic. She serves as the “straight man” of their duo. However, her time spent with Longo reminds her not to grow up too quickly, and to enjoy being a kid while it lasts.

Longo Bottomhill
Secondary protagonist - He is there to create chaos and excitement in Maude’s life, but it is important to emphasize that a lesson must be learned amidst all the chaos. Whether that lesson is for Longo or the Maude to learn varies from episode to episode, but there should always be a method to the madness. An important aspect of Longo’s character is his naivety, and how he is experiencing everything for the first time, and while he takes an exciting and whimsical approach to the world, it’s still daunting to face the unknown. Hence why this duo’s dynamic is so integral to the story. As long as they have each other they can face the unknown together. Over the course of the series, it becomes a mystery for the duo to figure out how Longo came to life and why. The truth is he has been possessed by a lonely spirit that once haunted the Mcgillicutti home. Upon possessing the plushie, however, he has lost his memories, and over the course of the series must realize who he is and his reason for possessing Longo; the need for a friend.

Mgillicutti Parents
Jesse & Raquel - Maude's loving parents. Raquel is an interior designer, while Jesse works as a journalist. Both are hardworking, and do everything they can to provide for their daughter. Raquel has a tendency to be a bit too overprotective while Jesse encourages Maude to learn from experience, at times being a bit too hands off. This causes them to clash heads at times, but at the end of the day they put aside petty squabbles for themselves and for their daughter.

Kike Gonzales
A transfer student who joins Maude's class part way through the year. He is outgoing and a little eccentric, but him and Maude quickly become fast friends, which makes Longo jealous. Despite this, he is fascinated by Longo, and offers his killer detective skills to help uncover how Longo came to life.

Lexi Lottacash
One of Maude's new classmates, Lexi is your stereotypical snotty rich brat. Standing at the top of the school's social ladder, she's always prepared to remind people who's top dog. She quickly becomes rivals with Maude, constantly trying to upstage her and put her down. Over the course of the series, however, we get some insight into her home life, and see that all her mean girl behavior is really just a poorly made shield to hide her insecurities and fears. Slowly but surely, we see a change as she begins to change her behavior for the better.
