As mentioned previously, the series is set in the early 2000s in the Midwest. More specifically, it's set in a small town somewhere in Ohio. While not a bustling place, the town is full of mom and pop shops and old Victorian style homes. Visually speaking, the world around these characters should have a sort of painted storybook look.
